We are offering wide range of Industrial Resilient Couplings are in use for all types of industrial applications over many years with success. The resilient couplings comprise mainly of two hubs and two covers to protect the springs. The grid spring elements are designed to provide maximum resiliency and varied flexibility. To suit drives involving high shocks/load, it is designed for considerable damping properties. The misalignment which invariably occurs between rotating shafts is also taken care of by the spring elements within allowable limits.
Dimensions /types (so to say X,Y,Z)are given in the tables as per volkarts standards, which suits the required standards of other primary manufactures. However tailor made couplings with Hubs of longer and shorter lengths may be manufactured, if ordered. Seals and Grub screws can also be supplied as per requirement of individual client.
The Standard Coupling Types are :X,Y,Z of selection
- To determine service factor corresponding to the type of application is under consideration from the table of service factor.
- To determine maximum HP normal rated HP X service factor of drive.
- To determine Rating of Coupling =maximum HP/ Rated RPM of drive.
- After the rating is determined whether the maximum bore and recommended speed of the coupling corresponds to the requirements of the drive. If the allowable maximum bore is too small, select a larger sized coupling. In case allowable safe speed is too low, a different type of coupling will have to be considered for which you may refer to VOLKART ENGINEERING.
Spare Parts
Parts of high torque resilient coupling of particular type are interchangeable with parts of a coupling of similar type. For ordering out spare grid spring and other parts, the code and serial numbers stamped on the coupling name plate must be furnished to ensure correct supply.
